Tuscan Affairs is run by Ann Freeman and Charly Lucas. We are British but have lived outside the UK for over 25 years, gaining a varied experience of life in the USA and several European countries especially Italy, where Ann has lived for 18 years.

We are passionate about Italy and especially Tuscany where we have found a quality of life linked to the warmth of the people, their love of the land, and a culture that blends ancient roots with modern living. We are both fluent in Italian - among other languages - and are qualified tour leaders. We offer friendly, personal and flexible services to make your experience in Italy unforgettable.

San Donnino
Our home and headquarters are in the tiny, picturesque village of San Donnino. It is home to a remarkable cosmopolitan community, including many artists. It lies mid-way between Florence and Siena overlooking the Elsa valley in the Chianti Colli Fiorentini wine-growing area. It is in the municipality of Certaldo, a small market town nestling below the splendid, unspoilt mediaeval hilltop citadel of Certaldo Alto.
